J-Style Garage Exhibits Cedarshed Boathouse at Inazuma Festival
Japan's love affair with Americana is no secret. Hot rods, hamburgers and Harleys hold a special place in Japanese culture. They recently celebrated the 4th Annual Inazuma Festival in Odaiba, Tokyo on November 4th, 2012. Odaiba is an island built on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay. (Geri: I've been there twice and the shopping is spectacular!)
This year's festival welcomed over 40,000 fans and J-Style Garage was on hand to exhibit the Cedarshed Boathouse. This is the second time for JSG to participate in this event. Last year they built the Cedarshed Clubhouse kit.
Bike Garage Kit
This time around the visitor response was even better as visitors could see the Boathouse kit being used for bicycle storage. Cycling related sports are gaining popularity in Japan and J-Style plans on exhibiting the Cedarshed Longhouse in the future, as it also makes great bike storage.
Note the space age building in the background of the picture below. It's the famous Odaiba landmark - the Fuji Television Building. The ball on top of the building weighs a colossal 1,200 tons!

The 29th National Tokyo Greenery Fair
Cedarshed is proud to display garden sheds at the Tokyo Greenery Fair. The exhibition starts September 29th and goes through October 28th, 2012. Cedarshed sheds are displayed in Inokashira Park.

Cedarshed Boathouse for Tsunami Kids
Bruce Cheng, owner of Cedarshed Industries, received a thank you letter for Cedarshed's support of the the Rainbow Project.

Thank you very much for your support of the "Rainbow Project". This is organized by IIDA (International Interior Design Association, Japan). The Cedarshed Boathouse will be provided to the "Nursery Aihara" in Ishinomaki-city by the IIDA.
Thank you very much for your support of the "Rainbow Project". This is organized by IIDA (International Interior Design Association, Japan). The Cedarshed Boathouse will be provided to the "Nursery Aihara" in Ishinomaki-city by the IIDA.
Ishinomaki is the city which recorded the largest number of dead and missing (3,182 & 553 respectively) by the Tsunami in March 2011. Many children's nurseries and kindergartens were damaged by the Tsunami. Some of them, managed by the Government sector, received quick support from public funds, while small private sector managed ones were overlooked.
Almost all the facilities of "Nursery Aihara" were washed away but their presence is critical for the community and kids there. IIDA decided to help Aihara's restoration by providing them the Boathouse.
I will convey your warm-hearted support to Aihara's staff.

The 29th National Urban Greenery Fair Tokyo
A green wind rushing through Tokyo... The 29th National Urban Greenery Fair Tokyo is an exhibition held at six main parks in metro Tokyo. The objective is to create greenery for the next generation, support the green movement, tourism, and to help create plans for the Sports Festival in Tokyo in 2013.
The exhibition will last for 30 days and start September 29th and go through October 28th, 2012.
Cedarshed Sheds Displayed at Fair
Cedarshed's Japanese distributor and J-Style have been working with the Tokyo Greenery Fair and they will be displaying Cedarshed sheds in Inokashira Park.
Roads, river ways and green corridors will be established between locations, spreading green throughout the whole area. A National Urban Greenery Festival will be held during the exhibition.
Cedarshed is proud to be a participant of this amazing exhibition. Thanks to Kato-san and J-Style!
